Australia Graduate Scheme

The Network Rail Consulting (NRC) graduate scheme in Australia takes our newest talent across the world to learn from Network Rail about Great Britain’s (GB) world-class projects, technology and best practise approach to asset management and railway innovation. NRC Graduate, Cody Kelly shares some of his experiences.

"Spending four weeks in the UK gave me invaluable insights into how European Train Control System (ETCS) ETCS Level 2 is tested and deployed across the country. From hands-on experience with driver training and observing ETCS L2/ ATO in operation on Thameslink, to the current work deploying ETCS on the East Coast Digital Program, I’ve gained knowledge of deployment approaches and the issues faced that I can directly relate to my current work on the Digital Systems Program in Sydney. I brought these learnings back to enhance my contribution to the System Integration Testing and Operational Readiness phases of the program.”"
