Baney Young
Baney is a Project, Programme and Portfolio Professional with a considerable amount of experience in successfully leading and embedding strategic and transformational change. She has extensive experience in creating and managing aspects of governance, assurance and capability development of Project, Programme and Portfolio Management (P3M) professionals across the industry. She is also versed in the delivery of complex portfolios, both of infrastructure and operational change.
Baney joined Network Rail Consulting in March 2024. Prior to that, she joined Network rail in March 2015 to embed the new Requirements Management framework for railway infrastructure projects in the UK before becoming a Head of Sponsorship profession. She remains the owner of several key standards governing projects and programmes.
Prior to joining Network Rail, Baney was managing internal transformation and project governance programmes in the Telecommunications industry, as part of Vodafone and prior to that was part of the Cable & Wireless team, joining the technical support team and rising through to process, project and programme management roles.
Baney is a Fellow of the Association of Project Management. She is a Chartered Project Professional and APM Registered Project Professional with an MSc in Project Management from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.
