Steve Hobbs

Steve has over 18 years' railway experience, 13 years at Network Rail on a variety of infrastructure capacity improvement projects, focussed on lineside and in-cab signalling. He has 5 years in the consultancy sector where he has worked on a broader range of international projects, which have seen him leading teams providing operational advice and timetable planning.

Steve joined Network Rail Consulting in February 2023, as a member of the newly formed Operational Modelling team.

Prior to joining Network Rail Consulting, Steve was at Network Rail for 7 years both as a Senior Modelling Engineer and a Signalling & Telecoms Operative. Prior to that Steve was Principle Consultant at URS/AECOM for 3 years in London and previously in Australia for 2 years as Senior Transport Consultant. Before that he was a Systems Modelling Specialist at Network Rail for 6 years.

Steve has BEng(hons) in Computer Communications (Micro Electronics).

Steve is based in London.
