Kirsty McGeachie

Kirsty is a highly experienced rail professional with a distinguished 27 year tenure in the rail industry. She is a seasoned senior executive with a strong background in operational roles and is driven to achieve improvements in asset performance and efficiency across asset management and maintenance domains within rail networks.

Her extensive expertise spans all facets of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for infrastructure, rollingstock, systems and facilities, including notable contributions to the GOA4 North West Metro project and Sydney Trains.

Kirsty joined Network Rail Consulting (NRC) in April 2025 as Associate Director, Asset Management and Maintenance.

Prior to joining NRC, Kirsty was General Manager Engineering and Maintenance at Metro Trains Sydney. Before that, she spent 25 years with Sydney Trains, where she began her career as a graduate and progressed to a Maintenance Operations Manager.

Kirsty has a Master’s in Engineering Asset Management from the University of Wollongong and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Sydney.

Kirsty is based in Sydney.
