Michael Garrard

Michael is an accomplished senior-level project and program manager, consultant and business owner with more than 25 years experience in design, leadership, execution, testing, commissioning, operational readiness and integration of projects in diverse and complex industries.

Michael joined Network Rail Consulting in March 2023 as a Deputy Project Director on the Digital Systems Project in Sydney Australia. Michael will lead the Tranche 2 works on the program.

Prior to joining Network Rail Consulting, Michael was Chief Commercial Officer of an International Gaming Company PlayUp Ltd. Before this he spent 13 years in Consulting and full-time roles on various projects including Sydney Metro, Sydney Trains CCTV Network, Sydney Trains Digital Train Radio Systems and the Glenfield to Leppington Rail Link.

Michael is a Member of the Australian Institute Project Managers (MAIPM). Michael has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree BComm and is a Licenced Electrical Contractor.

Michael is based in Sydney, Australia.
