Michael Paul

Michael is an operational integration specialist and systems engineer with a proven record of delivering high quality procedural and standards analysis, and risk mitigation frameworks. He has over 7 years’ experience in the successful delivery of complex major infrastructure projects across rail and telecommunications.

Michael joined Network Rail Consulting in October 2022 to provide operations and testing integration expertise with a focus on the development of railway safe working systems and digital signalling standards and principles.

Prior to joining Network Rail Consulting, Michael was an operational integration engineer on the Melbourne Metro Tunnel project and developed the operational and testing procedures, and book of rules for the first integration of CBTC Mixed Mode signalling in Victoria.

Michael is a member of the Institution of Engineers Australia, the Railway Technical Society of Australia, the Systems Engineering Society of Australia and the Chartered Institution of Railway Operators UK. He has a BEng (Hons) in Mechatronics & Advanced Manufacturing from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Michael is based in Melbourne.
