Oliver Lawrence
Oliver has over 15 years’ experience in the UK rail industry within the signalling maintenance and area services departments, specialising in asset maintenance & management. Working within complex maintenance environments, Oliver’s expertise include delivering challenging timescales in both safety and asset maintenance.
Oliver joined Network Rail Consulting (NRC) in August 2024 as Associate Director - Maintenance Specialist, working within the digital system programme for Transport for New South Wales (TfNWS) in Sydney. Delivering the roll out of European Train Control System (ETCS) L2 across various parts of the Sydney Rail Network.
Prior to joining NRC, Oliver was the reliability improvement specialist for the Sussex route in the southern region. Working with multidisciplinary stakeholders, implementing innovative new processes to improve reliability within the route, specifically around remote condition monitoring, which he championed for the route nationally.
Prior to this Oliver worked within the signalling department where he successfully led the first 100% green zone working in the southern region and was involved in the early adoption of ETCS L2 with overlay through the Thameslink core at Three Bridges ROC.
Oliver is a Member of the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (MIRSE) & a Member of the Pway Institution (MPWI). Oliver is professionally registered to the grade of EngTech and is working towards his IEng. Oliver has just completed his BEng degree in Rail and Rail Systems Engineering at LSBU.
Oliver is based in Sydney.
