As a rail professional with 20 years’ experience working in the fields of maintenance, engineering and asset management, Liam has a well-developed understanding of the railway system. Liam has led the development, implementation, and management of £850m work banks and has the knowledge and ability to understand, communicate and escalate risk, as required.
Liam’s previous experience includes the leadership of maintenance business units of 450 people, with annual operating budgets of circa. £30m managing some of the UK rail networks highest profile assets
Prior to joining Network Rail Consulting, Liam was head of Engineering & Asset Management for track & lineside assets, Liam provided strategic leadership and direction for Scotland region’s engineering teams for all engineering, asset management and system safety issues. He led the development and delivery of the asset strategy, which considered the strategic needs of maintenance, renewal, and investment activities.
Liam is a Chartered Engineer and member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, CEng MICE and a Fellow of the Permanent Way Institution, FICE.
Liam is based in Riyadh.
