Amanda Barnett

Amanda is a results-focused Project Manager committed to driving safety and efficiency improvements within organizations. She has 10 years of international experience advising executive leadership on strategic performance improvement initiatives, the last five years of which she spent implementing projects in the transit industry.

Amanda joined Network Rail Consulting (NRC) in 2024, bringing a wealth of organizational change expertise to benefit our clients. Before joining NRC, she led key improvement initiatives at Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), including the adoption of the (Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) Safety Management System regulations, extending the overnight work window, and rewriting the Operations and Maintenance Rulebook. Earlier in her career, Amanda led organizational and supply chain studies with McKinsey and coached World Bank practitioners in the Middle East, North Africa region and Transportation sector in adopting Agile methodologies.

She holds a joint degree in Law and Public Administration from Columbia Law School and the School of International and Public Affairs, as well as undergraduate degrees in French and Economics (summa cum laude) from Emory University. Amanda also holds a Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt and is pursuing her Black Belt certification.
