Dion Small

Dion has worked in the rail industry since 2011, working as a track and civil engineer with various transit and commuter railroad agencies in both in-house and consulting capacities. Dion has provided technical guidance for track and third rail traction power maintenance and capital programs. As track and third rail traction power design and construction support, Dion has facilitated new terminal development and provided quality assurance for in-house and third-party stakeholders.

Dion joined Network Rail in May 2022 to provide track subject matter expertise support to our clients in the Boston area and is supporting other NRC contracts in the USA Northeast Region.

Prior to joining Network Rail, Dion was a Track Engineer for ATANE for two years. Prior to this, he spent 5 years as a track engineer for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority. Before this, Dion spent three years as an associate civil engineer with Parsons Corporation, based in both NYC and Washington DC.

Dion has a BS in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College and is based in Boston.
