Eva Thompson

Eva is a qualified Project Manager with over 20 years of industry experience in delivering complex, engineering-projects within the railway industry. She brings a strong track record in meeting key performance metrics, including timely delivery and quality. Her expertise lies in Engineering Vehicles and Rolling Stock with hands-on experience at Railway Depots and Production Workshops. Eva’s contributions to the rail sector have earned her recognition as a UK Finalist in the Rail Business Awards for 'Woman in Rail,' celebrating her impact across Engineering and Project Management disciplines.

Eva joined Network Rail Consulting (NRC) in October 2025 as Associate Director, Railway Project Manager and leads technical workstreams, ensuring governance of projects and client satisfaction.

Prior to joining NRC, Eva was the Process Manager & Acting Director – Fleet Optimization at ONXpress where she led the Fleet Optimization Team to ensure high standards and targets were achieved. Before this, she spent 20 years on London Underground Projects in the UK as a Project Manager across various multi-disciplinary projects.

Eva is a Member of Association of Project Management with AMPM qualification and a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology. She holds a Masters Degree in Project Management, a Masters degree in Law and a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, all awarded from the UK.

Eva is based in Toronto.
