Mark Pettigrew

Mark has 35 years’ experience working on major rail and road transport projects across Australia and New Zealand. This experience has also extended into projects in Asia and Africa. He has successfully delivered projects spanning the full project lifecycle from strategic planning and advisory through to planning, design, construction and operational phases.

Mark joined Network Rail Consulting in May 2018. He is responsible for leading and developing Network Rail Consulting’s business in Australia to deliver growth and ensure that the required levels of project delivery excellence, quality, revenue and profitability are achieved.

Before joining Network Rail Consulting, Mark was a Transportation Market Leader for GHD Australia Pty Ltd for 3 years including delivering the business case for the Townsville Eastern Access Rail Corridor Study. Before this, he spent 15 years in senior technical and executive roles with both AECOM and CH2M Hill Pty Ltd, working in and across all states and territories of Australia and New Zealand.

Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia, a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
