- Associate Director, Traction Power
Phillip has over 16 years' engineering experience in the industrial and rail sectors, 10 years within large scale multidisciplined rail projects in the UK. He has extensive experience of leading and managing engineering teams within project delivery and operational organisations. Phillip has acted as contact systems and traction power technical lead on several complex projects.
Phillip joined Network Rail Consulting in June 2021 as lead Traction Power and Contact Systems engineer on the California High Speed Rail Project; as well as providing support to clients across the United States.
Prior to joining Network Rail, Phillip was a Senior Engineer for SPIE for over 6 years, delivering industrial power projects in several sectors including defence and telecoms. Phillip joined Network Rail in 2012 and acted as Engineering Manager, Design Manager and Program Manager on several complex, multi-year projects including Liverpool Lime Street Re-modelling and Safer, Faster Isolations Schemes.
Phillip holds an MSc (Hons) in Management from The University of Manchester, a BEng (Hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Liverpool John Moore’s University and is registered with the Engineering Council as a Chartered Electrical Engineer (CEng MIET).
