Stuart Maddock
Stuart has 20 years’ experience working in mixed traffic railway and rapid transit environments across the UK and USA. He has extensive experience steering single and multi-disciplinary teams in driving transformative change through strategic infrastructure maintenance, whole-life asset management, and the successful delivery of multi-million-dollar brownfield projects. His unique experience spans infrastructure owner, contracted operator/maintainer, and consultancy roles, giving him a distinctive perspective on the railway industry and an ability to deliver impactful solutions across sectors.
Stuart joined Network Rail Consulting in September 2024, to lead and grow the Asset Management and Maintenance team in Boston.
Before joining Network Rail Consulting, Stuart was Director of Change Management within the Asset Management team at Keolis Commuter Services, where he led transformation, innovation, and performance improvement initiatives for the Boston Commuter Rail system. He also served as Head of Asset Assurance at KeolisAmey Docklands for the Docklands Light Railway. Additionally, Stuart spent over 15 years with Network Rail UK and Network Rail Consulting, holding key leadership roles in Infrastructure Maintenance, Asset Management, and Project Delivery.
Stuart is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a Bachelor’s Degree (BEng) in Railway Engineering. He is a member of the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE) and serves as an elected committee member of the IRSE North American Section. Additionally, Stuart holds an Advanced Diploma in Railway Control Engineering, having successfully completed the IRSE Professional Examination.
