Mark is a very experienced engineer and senior leader with a proven track record in building and leading engineering teams to manage complex maintenance, enhancement and renewals programmes. He is a commercially focused Chartered Electrical Engineer who has worked within the rail industry all of his working life. Mark has over 35 years’ experience
in the management, maintenance and renewal of railway infrastructure assets and has played a key role in successfully recruiting, training, authorising and managing Engineering and Maintenance Delivery teams for two new state of the art railways in the UK (Eurotunnel and HS1), both of which were privately owned but nationally regulated.
Mark has a bachelor’s degree in engineering, is registered with the UK Engineering Council as a Chartered Engineer and is a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. He has in-depth knowledge of the UK and global Rail Industry, in particular engineering design, approval, control and maintenance of railway power, electrification, and A.C and D.C traction supply assets.
