Wendy Welsh

Wendy has over 25 years of railway experience in commercial, strategic, operational and front-line roles. She is a commercially aware, high energy leader, a motivator as well as a team player who identifies and develops value generating opportunities.

With a collaborative approach to problem solving and an emphasis on excellent customer service, Wendy has extensive experience of working with individuals and teams across diverse functions, integrating cross functional business change strategies and initiatives to achieve performance and safety improvements.

Latterly as Head of Air Operations in Network Rail, Wendy was responsible for leading business wide strategies including the national introduction of unmanned aircraft system technology to improve asset inspection and operational safety performance with no disruption to train running.
