Faisal Adnan

Faisal has more than 20 years’ of hands-on experience in the rail industry, specifically within the rolling stock and infrastructure sectors. His expertise encompasses comprehensive maintenance of various rolling stock types, including freight wagons, passenger coaches, and locomotives. With a strong grasp of EN50126/8/9 standards, particularly relevant in the RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) field, Faisal has demonstrated his proficiency through the successful execution of four rail vehicle projects involving assembly and fabrication.

This extensive project involvement has equipped Faisal with a profound understanding of both Project and Production Management. He demonstrates a keen awareness of the workflows and cash flows inherent in project operations, underscoring his ability to navigate and manage the intricacies of rail-related ventures.

In September 2023, Faisal assumed a pivotal role at Network Rail Consulting, taking charge of the safety and assurance aspects of the Digital System Program. His responsibilities include spearheading the assurance work related to trackside equipment. Additionally, Faisal is actively managing the project interface hazard log, demonstrating his meticulous approach to identifying and mitigating potential risks at the project interface.

Before joining Network Rail Consulting, Faisal served as a System Safety Specialist at Downer for over two years, where he contributed his expertise to the rail infrastructure field. Prior to this role, he dedicated over three years to Knorr Bremse Pty Australia, joining as a RAMS Engineer. Faisal started his professional journey with Pakistan Railways, where he progressively climbed the ranks, attaining various senior positions over the course of his tenure. His diverse experience across different organisation and roles has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the rail industry and safety practices.

Faisal is a member of Pakistan Engineering Council. He has degree of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology Lahore.
