Kauser Ismailjee

Kauser has over 8 years of international rail experience across Europe, as a specialist in European Train Control Systems Level 2 (ETCS L2). Her expertise lies in project delivery, system integration, and the production of specifications for signalling systems. Kauser led the CBTC/ETCS interface design for Alstom on the Paddington to Heathrow ETCS overlay project. Additionally, she served as a lead author for Network Rail, on technical specifications and operational test scenarios for the ETCS and ATO Requirements Suite.

Kauser joined Network Rail Consulting in May 2023 as a Project Engineer for the Digital Systems Project.

Prior to joining Network Rail Consulting, Kauser was a Principal Project Engineer at Alstom for a number of ETCS projects. Before this, she spent 5 years with Network Rail, joining as a graduate and subsequently specialising in Control Command Signalling (CCS). As part of her time with Network Rail she undertook a 9 month secondment in Brussels with European Infrastructure Managers (EIM) as a technical advisor for the development of Technical Specifications of Interoperability (TSIs).

Kauser is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and the Institution of Railway Signalling Engineers (IRSE). She is on the Young Members Committee for the IRSE as an International Outreach representative. She has a MEng in Electronics Engineering from The University of Warwick in the UK.

Kauser is based in Sydney.
