Mark Pettigrew

Mark has 40 years’ experience working on major rail and road transport projects across Australia, New Zealand and the USA. This experience has also extended into projects in Asia and Africa. He has successfully delivered projects spanning the full project lifecycle, from strategic planning and advisory through to planning, design, construction and operational phases.

Mark joined Network Rail Consulting (NRC) in May 2018. He is currently responsible for leading and developing NRC’s business development across its key service offerings in the Australian region. Mark provides leadership on the required levels of business development activities that support value-creation for clients through earlier pre-positioning, pre-planning, ownership, coordination control and increased collaboration in the development of key pursuits though to winning new work.

Before joining NRC, Mark was a Transportation Market Leader at GHD Australia Pty Ltd for 3 years, including delivering the business case for the Townsville Eastern Access Rail Corridor Study. Prior to this, he spent 15 years in senior technical and executive roles with both AECOM and CH2M Hill Pty Ltd, working in and across all states and territories in Australia and New Zealand, on both regional and international projects.

Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia, a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mark is based in Sydney.
