Mike Gallop

Mike has over 37 years’ experience in consultancy, operational and asset management, and project delivery. He has extensive experience in the construction, utility and transport sectors across the UK and Europe. Mike has extensive experience working with a range of multi-national clients.

Mike joined Network Rail in 2006 as Western Route Enhancement Manager, becoming Director for Route Asset Management in 2012, then Western Route Director in 2019 before joining Network Rail Consulting in January 2023 as Project Director.

Prior to joining Network Rail, Mike was Director of Severn Trent Utility Services a non-regulated business within the Severn Trent Group. Before this Mike spent 15 years working in consulting engineering for MWH, Hyder Consulting and Halcrow.

Mike is a Fellow of the Geological Society, a Chartered Geologist and is a Fellow of the Permanent Way Institution. He holds an MSc and PhD in Geology, a Certificate in Management from the Open University and a Diploma in Management from Warwick Business School.

Mike is based in Riyadh.
