Gy Harness

Gy has 15 years of experience within asset management, principally within railroad maintenance and renewals. He has worked in Europe, North America, and the Middle East, advising clients on the implementation of EAM systems, improving the maturity of asset information, and increasing the efficiency of infrastructure management systems.

Gy joined Network Rail Consulting in May 2023, following positions within Network Rail and AMCL. He is currently advising NRC’s North America clients on asset renewal and delivery, enhancing operating performance, and enabling digital transformation.

Gy joined Network Rail in 2008, working within railroad electrification maintenance and renewals, followed by management positions within the East London and Essex area of operations. Before joining NRC, he consulted for AMCL to mining and utility clients in Australia and Saudi Arabia, leading efforts to raise data quality within their asset information systems.

Gy has BEng in Railway Engineering, a PGCert in Power Systems, and an MBA from Bayes Business School.
