Andrew Mitchem
Andrew is a highly experienced international rail infrastructure engineer with over 35 years’ experience. He is Network Rail Consulting’s (NRC) lead consultant for the New York, DC offices and national clients. His main area of technical expertise is Rail Infrastructure management. He has 17 years of experience as a UK Rail Signal Engineer, followed by 7 years as an Infrastructure Engineer and Asset Manager responsible for all rail infrastructure assets in a geographic region.
Andrew joined NRC in September 2016 to take up the role of Engineering Director for Saudi Arabia Railroad (SAR). Andrew left SAR in 2019 to lead the New York office where he has also covered the DC office and National client responsibilities.
Prior to joining NRC, Andrew was the Strategic Development Manager for Network Rail, Wales Route. Before this, he held senior railroad leadership roles across the UK spending a total of 24 years with Network Rail, Carillion, Jarvis and British Rail respectively.
Andrew is a member of the Institutions of Engineering and Technology and the Permanent Way. He is also member of the Institute of Asset Management.
He has BSc (Hons) in Technology, a Post graduate diploma in systems practice, and a HNC in Electrical and Electronic engineering.
